Chris Cannon: Creative Group Head/Writer

It took Chris five long years to earn a degree from the University of Texas. That’s because, as a senior, he was already working as a copywriter. Call it an “extracurricular class” that put Chris ahead of his peers – a course of action that not only taught him the ropes but helped him climb them: first at McGarrah Jessee, then with Arnold Worldwide, Team One, and Pereira & O’Dell. By the time Chris joined TRG, his résumé read like a wish list.

Chris came to us in 2010 to work on brands including GameStop, Fiat, Abercrombie & Fitch, Shiner, and American Cancer Society. His work has been featured in Communication Arts, Print Magazine, and Graphis.

When not working, camping, surfing, or working out, Chris stills spends plenty of time with his nose buried in textbooks. These days, it’s because he and his wife, Emily Ruth, are helping their three boys with homework.
