Dave Snell: Brand Planning Director

We knew Dave wasn’t from Dallas when he asked, “When do the lakes freeze over?” Turns out he’s from Waterdown, a small town outside Toronto. His curiosity about what makes people do the strange things they do – like, say, ice fishing – led him to a psychology degree. After writing one too many papers on love, Dave decided that a more constructive outlet for his curiosity was in order. Enter brand planning.

Graduating from the University of Guelph with an M.S. in consumer behavior, Dave joined one of the largest Canadian ad agencies as a research analyst. Four years later, he was vice president and director of strategic planning. Dave joined The Richards Group in 1994 and during his tenure has worked on clients such as Hummer, Freightliner, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Chick-fil-A, Pure Fishing, Nortel, and The Home Depot.

When not at work, Dave is typically playing, coaching, watching, or otherwise obsessing about hockey.
