Mike Bales: Creative Group Head/Writer
Mike is generally calm and methodical; therefore, so is his bio.
After attending the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Mike enjoyed a cup of coffee at McCann-Erickson/Atlanta before moving on to TRG, where he worked on brands like Cole Haan and Chick-fil-A and spent four years as lead writer on Motel 6. Mike then calmly and methodically moved to San Francisco, where he worked at Goldberg Moser O’Neill.
During four anything-but-calm years there, he created campaigns for Beringer Wine Estates, Motorola, Cisco Systems, and the Oakland Zoo. He then spent a year freelancing in San Francisco.
In 2004, Mike rejoined TRG, where he creates work for Chrysler, Scotts lawn products, Luzianne Tea, and a handful of other great brands.
Mike lives in Dallas in a really old house with his wife, Jeanine; their son, Nate (who is neither calm nor methodical); and a large German shepherd.
