In a pest control category that is becoming more and more commoditized, we constantly need to think of meaningful ways to differentiate Orkin and protect their premium services from competitive low-price strategies. And rethinking is just what we did in our most recent work.

“Home Is Where the Bugs Aren’t” doesn’t feature the Orkin Man, and the giant bugs don’t make an appearance – in fact, the ads are bug-free. Instead, we show what it’s like to enjoy a worry-free home with people relaxing, sleeping, and enjoying their backyards without being “injected with parasitic blood from a mosquito” or worrying that their house may be “digested into termite fecal pellets.”

With no music and minimal sound, the spots showcase the power and weight of a simple idea.
